Publication of Muhammad Forid Hasan’s Poetry in Japanese Language

Two poems by poet and researcher Muhammad Farid Hasan have been published in Japanese in the renowned Japanese literary magazine, 'Mi’Te'. The original Bengali titles of the published poems are 'Mukh' (The Face) and 'Mithyuk Abashyak' (Liar Wanted). According to sources, the translation process was completed in two stages. Initially, the poems were translated into English by writers and translators Purabi Basu and Zahid Nayan. Subsequently, the English versions were translated into Japanese by the eminent Japanese poet Takako Arai. The poems were featured in the Spring 2026 issue of the magazine.

On Thursday morning (April 16, 2026), Muhammad Farid Hasan collected the copies of the magazine, sent from Japan, at the Chandpur Head Post Office. Upon receiving this international publication, the poet expressed his gratitude, stating, "It is a great honor to have my work featured in an international publication. Such initiatives play a vital role in expanding the global reach of Bengali poetry and building bridges with readers of different languages." He also extended his sincere thanks to the translators and everyone associated with the magazine.

Notably, Muhammad Farid Hasan has been active in the fields of literature and research for a long time. He has authored 33 books published across India and Bangladesh. He is also a recipient of the prestigious 'Kali O Kalam Young Poet and Writer Award 2024', one of the most distinguished honors for young writers in Bangladesh.
